Porsche marks 25Years of the Boxter with an anniversary Model

Porsche is celebrating the 25th birthday of the Boxster with a select anniversary model dubbed the Boxster 25 Years. The celebration of the model that saved the company from bankruptcy will receive a limited run restricted to 1,250 units worldwide. Based on the GTS 4.0 model, which is powered by a 4.0-litre six-cylinder boxer engine with 294kW. Having launched in 1996 and currently, in its fourth generation, the Boxster has enjoyed much success with more than 357,000 units delivered globally.

Porsche Boxster 25th Anniversary: Exterior 

The Boxster 25 Years limited edition has reinterpreted using the copper-brown Neodyme colour, which provides an exciting contrast to the primary GT Silver Metallic colour on the 993). The colour is used on the front apron, the side air intakes with a mono bar, and the lettering and the two-tone 20-inch alloy wheels in the anniversary model. The Boxster 25 Years will be offered in GT Silver Metallic although Deep Black Metallic and Carrara White Metallic are also available. The fuel filler cap is enhanced with an aluminium look as do the high-gloss tailpipes of the sports exhaust system while the windscreen surround is finished in contrasting black.

Porsche Boxster 25th Anniversary: Interior

The anniversary edition combines a Bordeaux leather interior with a red fabric convertible top (it is also available in black). The convertible top bears embossed Boxster 25 lettering. The Boxster 25 Years has 14-way electrically adjustable sports seats; door sill trims with Boxster 25 lettering and the heated GT multifunction sports leather steering wheel.

Porsche Boxster 25th Anniversary: Engine and performance

The anniversary edition is powered by the 4.0-litre flat-six engine which pushes out 294 kW of power and 420 Nm and is paired with a manual six-speed transmission or a seven-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission. The special-edition model reaches a top speed of 293 km/h and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds.

The new Boxster 25 Years is available to order now. First units are expected to arrive on the market end of April 2021.
