Enhanced Audi TT RS range for 2021

Audi Sport Dealers and fanatics alike can rejoice as the return of the updated and refreshed Audi TT RS range. The refresher has resulted in new vibrant colours, enriched looks and a more dynamic and distinctly Audi looks to the flagship 5-cylinder baby Lambo powered TT.

2021 Audi TT RS: Exterior

The RS gets a frontal refresher at the frontend through a redesigned matt black aluminium grill with signature Quattro logo in an equally matt titanium aesthetic. Additional dual radiators and added and located behind the honeycomb RS grille, and larger air inlets and vertical stripes. The front headlamps are now standard with the OLED Matrix head and 3D taillamps. There is a slight re-shaping of the rear bumper and fixed-wing at the rear, with the slight change to the bumper’s design through new winglets that let the air out of the wheel wells. Typical of any RS model the mirrors are finished in an Aluminium finish with the prospect for gloss black mirror caps via the options list. Two large oval exhausts denote the RS-specific nomenclature. The TT RS features 20-inch wheels with a black and diamond-cut finish, which hide the red brake callipers.

2021 Audi TT RS: Interior 

Internally the TT RS gains the RS sport seats finished in Nappa leather with red, blue or black contrast stitching, and honeycomb patterning. The Typical assortment of RS logos features on the steering, door sills, gear selector and seats. Audi’s 12.3-inch virtual cockpit is standard and features the RS proprietary displays including the famed live kW and Nm power displays, G-force & shift indicator. The RS Sport Leather Steering Wheel now gains dedicated RS mode buttons, in addition to the standard Up and Down paddle shifters. The Audi drive select controls are located on the wheel for easy access and allow for selecting the various drive modes. As standard Audi MMI Navigation and MMI touch with the free text search system we first saw in the new A4 are fitted factory, so is the Audi connect system. Customers have an option of the Bang & Olufsen sound system with an output of 680 watts.

2021 Audi TT RS: Engine and Performance

Powering the new TT RS is the latest version of the famed Audi five-cylinder engine, producing 294kW and 480 NM of torque and linked to a seven-speed S Tronic transmission sending power to all four wheels via Quattro AWD. This edifice of power and lightweight is good for a 3.7secong 0-100 sprint time and the standard 250km/h top speed, with 280km/h available as an option. RS sport suspension plus is available with Audi magnetic ride control adaptive dampers.

2021 Audi TT RS In South Africa

The new TT RS is available in nine different colours, including the new RS-specific colour Kyalami Green. The fabric top of the TT RS Roadster is only available in black. Pricing starts from R1,062,000 for the Coupe and for the roadster R1,113,500. Prices include a five year/100 000 KM Audi Freeway Plan.
